An Inter School Scholastic Competition was held on 27th June 2018 at Government Secondary School, Sudunglakha, East Sikkim. Organised by Zilla Panchayat, 15 Bering Sudunglakha T C and supported by State Institute of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj and Childline (YODESS), the event was powered by Wandering Souls of Sikkim with an objective of providing a platform to perform to the students studying in schools around the Bering Sudunglakha Territorial Constituency.

Around 60 students from the 11 government and private schools participated in six different competitions organized during the daylong event. Tareythang Secondary School secured 1st position in the senior level quiz followed by Mulukey Junior High School in the 2nd position. Takshang Kaijaley School secured 1st position in the Junior level Quiz competition followed by Bering Junior High School in the second position. Anjali Giri of Sudunglakha Secondary School secured 1st position in the Elocution Competition followed by Ashika Kafley of Tareythang Secondary School in the 2nd position. Pratistha Sharma of Blooming Buds Academy secured 1st position in the Spell- Check Competition followed by Prerna Gurung of Mulukey Junior High School in the 2nd position. Prajambika Sharma of Sudunglakha Secondary School secured 1st position in the Senior level Essay Writing competition followed by Bibek Subba of Bering Junior High School in the 2nd position. Upasana Rai of Sudunglakha Secondary School secured 1st position in the Junior Level Essay Writing Competition followed by Bishaka Subba of Mulukey Junior High School.
SDM, Rongli A B Gurung attended the function as the Chief Guest along with Rongli HRDD Dy Director Dorjee Sherpa, Rhenock HRDD AD KK Sharma, Coordinator HRDD DP Dhungana, YODESS Executive Director MK Gurung, Zilla Panchayat Madhu Sharma, Sudunglakha School Head Bimla Chettri, representatives from SIRD & PR, Gram Panchayats, SMC Members, Members of Kanchenjunga SHG, teachers, students and others.
