Wandering Souls of Sikkim(WSOS), a webzine and youth forum organized an Inter School Festival, NEEV: A Foundation for Better Future at Pakyong GPK Hall on 3rd November 2018.
190 students of 15 Secondary & Senior Secondary Schools from around Pakyong participated in Quiz, Elocution, Essay Writing, Painting and Poetry Recitation in English & Nepali. The various competitions were judged by Mr. Prayash Gupta (Assistant Professor, SMU), Mr. Kamal Dahal (Poet and Playwright), Mr. Sunil Pradhan (Panchayat Inspector, Pakyong), Mr. Dinesh Acharya (Research Assistant, UNDP) & Mr. Biki Sharma, Budding Artist.
Team comprising of Rahul Sharma & Sadrish Sharma of Pacheykhani Secondary School won the Quiz Competition conducted by Quiz Master Hom Nath Dhungyal of Wandering Souls of Sikkim. Team comprising of Apeksha Uniyal & Prageti Khatiwara of Sai Gurukul Academy were the runners up.
Shilpi Kumari of Rorathang Secondary School was adjudged the winner of Painting competition on the theme: Swachh Sikkim; Swasth Sikkim, followed by Resheb Basnet of Dikling Sr. Sec. School in the second position.
Trishna Rai & Sandeep Kafley from Mamring Sr. Sec. School were adjudged winners and runners up respectively in the Senior Level Elocution Competition on Waste Management: A Challenge for Humanity.
Ashika Kafley of Tareythang Secondary School & Susung Lepcha of Amba Secondary School were adjudged winner and runners up respectively in the secondary level Elocution Competition on the theme: Sikkim of my Dreams.
Reebea Lepcha of Namcheybong School won the English Poetry Competition and Vijaya Bhandari of Tareythang School won the Nepali Poetry Competition.
Results of the Essay Writing Competition shall be published in WSOS website www.wanderingsoulsofsikkim.com after a few days.

It was an attempt by WSOS to reach out to young minds of Sikkim and provide them a platform to perform. We shall continue providing similar platforms to students from other areas of Sikkim through the future editions of NEEV: A Foundation for Better Future.
