Wandering Souls of Sikkim organized an inter school scholastic festival, NEEV: A Foundation for Better Future at Government Secondary School, Lingi Payong, South Sikkim on 4th May 2019, Saturday. The event was supported by Lingmoo Payong Gram Panchayat and Lingi Payong Secondary School and coordinated by Mr. Suraj Sharma, HM, Lingi Payong Secondary School.
80 students from 8 schools across Lingi Payong participated in 8 scholastic competitions like quiz, debate, poetry, essay writing etc in various categories during the daylong festival.
Various competitions were judged by Mr. Bibhushan Dhungyal (Asst. Controller of Exams,SMU), Mr Prahlad Sharma (Principal, Mamring Sr. Sec. School), and SMU Assistant Professors Mr. Prayash Gupta & Ms. Deepa Sharma.
The daylong event was organized in line with our objective to provide a platform for the young minds in rural Sikkim to foster their creative genius and thereby lay a foundation for better future.
The event was attended by BDO, Yangang, Mr. Kishore Thapa as the Chief Guest along with Lingmoo Payong Gram Panchayat President Mr. Yogesh Bhandari, School Heads of the participating schools, teachers, students and others.
