Amba Taza Zilla Panchayat Smt. Subadra Dangal organized a daylong inter school festival titled NEEV: A Foundation for Better Future powered by Wandering Souls of Sikkim on 20th September 2019 at Government Secondary School, Amba, East Sikkim.
Around 100 students from 14 schools under Amba, Taza & Bering Tareythang GPUs participated in various competitions like Quiz, Debate, Poetry, Spell Check, Essay Writing etc. in various categories.
Hon’ble MLA cum Chairperson, STCS Shri Bishnu Kumar Khatiwara graced the festival as Chief guest alongwith Pakyong ADC (Dev) Mrs. Radha Pradhan, DPO East Shri Yadav Sharma, BDO, Pakyong Shri Nilakantha Bhandari, poet & playwright Shri Kamal Dahal, Officials from Education Department, panchayats, teachers, students and others.
Amba School HM Mahendra Poudyal thanked WSOS for choosing the school as a venue for this edition of NEEV.
During his address the Chief Guest congratulated the Zilla Panchayat and Wandering Souls of Sikkim for organizing the festival with an objective of providing a platform for the students studying in the village schools.
