NEEV HELD AT GREENDALE SCHOOL ON 26TH MARCH, 2022.

NEEV: A FOUNDATION FOR BETTER FUTURE, AN INTER-SCHOOL FESTIVAL BY WANDERING SOULS OF SIKKIM HELD AT GREENDALE SCHOOL ON 26TH MARCH, 2022.

Wandering Souls of Sikkim organized its inter-school festival titled NEEV: A foundation for better future at Greendale School, Tadong on 26th March 2022. The festival was supported by Hon’ble MLA Shri G T Dhungel and saw the participation of about 80 students from 7 secondary and senior secondary schools around Tadong in various competitive events like quiz, elocution, poetry recitation, debate, creative writing, etc.

The festival began with the melodious group song performed by the students of Greendale School, Tadong. NEEV @ Tadong Coordinator Dr. Subadra Dangal presented the welcome speech and outlined the objective of organizing the festival.

Various competitions were judged by NBBGC Associate Professors Dr. Udai Chettri, Dr. Geeta Niroula, Rhenock College Assistant Professors Mr. Karma Norbu Bhutia, Mr. Mandip Tamang, Mr. Pranay Khatiwara, and SCERT Faculty Mr. Suraj Kumar Sharma.

A team comprising Abishek Prasad and Abhiraj Parajuli of Tadong Senior Secondary School secured 1st position in the Quiz Competition followed by Arkadev Bag and Deepali Gupta of Holy Cross School in the 2nd Position.

Shraddha Sharma of Holy Cross School was adjudged the winner of the Creative Writing Competition followed by Jashmine Khatoon of Deorali Girls’ Senior Secondary School in the 2nd position.

Prasiksha Khatri of Holy Cross won the Elocution Competition, whereas, Neol Rai of Tadong Senior Secondary School was adjudged the Best Speaker in the Debate Competition.

Prakriti Adhikari of Mount Zion School and Betila Kazi of Holy Cross School were adjudged winners in the Nepali and English Poetry Competitions respectively.

Students of Tadong Senior Secondary School enthralled the audience with their wonderful dance.

The festival was attended by Hon’ble MLA Shri G T Dhungel as the Chief Guest along with his spouse Smt. Usha Tamang Dhungel, Councillors, SKM functionaries from various wards under Tadong constituency, teachers, students, and others.

The Chief Guest in his speech congratulated WSOS for organizing the event and encouraged participating students to take maximum benefits from such competitive events.

WSOS Co-founder Pranay Khatiwara thanked the Hon’ble MLA for his support in organizing the festival and congratulated the participating students for wonderfully displaying their competitive spirit.

The festival ended after the presentation of prizes and certificates to the winners and participants.
